We are looking for a couple 10u teams to scrimmage this Sunday 1-3 at TRYC. It’s free no gates. This is the last week of the Umpire training and we are going to have multiple games going on. Let me know if your interested

For all of you that ask me about Tryc think about this. All those Parks are owned by Sedgwick County. Not the City of Wichita. The county for years says they have no money. Think about this. Counting 2027s budget $40 million to the Zoo in the last 4 years. We now want $27 million for the Intrust Arena. $10 million to the zoo in 2027 budget. Now I am aware the county has an agreement with the Zoo. Maybe it’s time that gets changed! The youth sports on Ridge Rd deserve some help as well. If parents do not get involved in this it will never change. This is no slam on the zoo but spread the wealth! The money is there it just goes to 1-2 places.

Parents and Coaches this is your shot at letting the county know that it’s time for a Ridge Road project. One cent sales tax in Sedgwick County for 1 yr would roughly bring in $150 million. So a quarter for 1 year would probably cover ridge road. The problem is the County does whatever the Zoo wants year in and year out.The Zoo will get another 10 million next year. It’s time you parents and coaches speak up!

ICYMI: Sedgwick County Manager Tom Stolz presented his 2027 Recommended Budget to Commissioners last week.

Key themes include:
-Focusing on mission-critical services.
-Reducing the mill levy again.
-Providing stable compensation for employees.

Commissioners are expected to vote on the 2027 Budget on August 26, 2026. In the meantime, you can tell us what you want to see using our 2027 Online Public Forum!

INTRUST Bank Arena has a reserve fund that, over the past 15 years, has paid for many upgrades to the building, including a new scoreboard, ribbon displays and other general maintenance items.

That fund will run out this year, and arena staff say that they'll need $27 million over the next 20 years to keep up with the building.

Sedgwick County is considering ways to refill that fund, including property taxes or a sales tax.

So we sent out a lot of information last week to the head coach’s email that was listed on usssa. Weekends passes are available today only at Genesis From 1-4 with the $10 discount. Anyone can come buy them for you. Cash or Credit Cards are excepted.
