I’ve been on both sides of this, especially in pro ball. Every player says they want it, but not all show it and actually do it. Be the one that does.

The way a hitter lands with their front foot can completely change the quality of their swing.

One of the biggest mistakes young hitters make is landing too open with the front foot where the toes are already pointed at the pitcher before the swing even occurs. When that happens, the hips often open too early or over rotate, causing the barrel to work around the ball instead of through it. The result? Weak pull-side ground balls, rollovers, and sky-high pop ups.

A strong landing position creates a strong swing. Ideally, the front foot should land no more than 45 degrees open. That gives the hips enough freedom to fire explosively while still allowing the hitter to stay connected, keep the barrel on plane longer, and drive through the baseball with authority.

Small adjustments in the lower half can completely change swing efficiency, consistency, and power. Master the landing position first, and everything else in the swing starts working better from there 💪

Being a baseball mom isn’t like any other. It’s early mornings, long drives, weekends sacrificed for tournaments, and hotel rooms in towns you’ve never heard of. It’s watching your kid strike out and still being the first one to tell him he’s great. It’s being the loudest voice in the stands when everyone else goes quiet. That doesn’t go unnoticed.

Today we celebrate you. But every single day we’re grateful for you.

To my mom, thank you for every mile, every hour, and every ounce of energy you poured into my dream. I wouldn’t be here without you. ❤️
