I recommend the banded squat! Not only does this help sculpt the b***y, šŸ‘ but it also helps with form! The band forces you to open up your hips which allows you to go deeper into a squat without rounding your back! Boom. šŸ‘Š So get at it!!

I’ve talked about squats before but I’m going to bring them up again! One of the absolute best movements is the squat. You’re working your whole body with this one (as long as you’re performing it correctly). When performing a barbell back squat, the weight should be placed evenly between the hips and the knees (if you’re making your knees take on most of the weight and doing most of the work, you will hurt your knees). Make sure you shift your weight to your heels and NOT your toes. When coming down keep your chest up and spread your knees out and wide, you don’t want your knees caving in! And your feet stay fixed in the ground. If you’re not super comfortable with the squat yet, I recommend starting with air squats and working your way up.. you have to start somewhere! Some of my fav squats are the barbell back squat (obviously), front squat, pin squats, landmine squats, zercher squats, Jefferson squats, box squats, etc. there’s so many different ways to squat! Drop me a message if your interested in squatting with me! Happy Tuesday y’all! 😘

I am working on setting up a ā€˜fitness in the park’ group! We would meet once a week and the workout would be a lot of plyometric movements and learning how to use your own body weight to build strength! Let me know if anyone would be interested in this or if you know of anyone that would be interested, pass along the info! I would keep this group smaller as I am a stickler when it comes to form and performing the exercises correctly! If I get a good response to this I’ll add groups weekly as necessary. I’m hoping for this to be a spring/summer thing, as the weather gets nicer and more predictable in the mornings!

Sugar! This is another one of my favorite topics. A lot of people think that because of what I do, I do not indulge in sweets and such. This is wrong! In fact, I make sure to enjoy the things I love because then I’m 1) not depriving myself and 2) I’m satisfying cravings in a healthy way. You can enjoy the foods you like in moderation and STILL reach your goals! Life is about balance! My goal is to teach my clients what a healthy balance looks like so they can continue to maintain that balance throughout their life. Message me if you’re interested in hearing about what this looks like! I offer nutrition and exercise plans in person and online! I hope everyone has a splendid Monday! 😘

Lets talk abs! One of the most asked questions I get from my clients, or anyone for that matter is, "how do I get abs??" OR "How do I lose some weight in my stomach?" GUYS! Abs are made in the kitchen.... cliche answer right?? Well its true. No, you do not have to spend hours doing crunches and sit-ups. No, you do not have to follow a diet that is strictly chicken, fish, and vegetables. You can learn how to eat freely and enjoy food and life and not have to live in this strict bubble of eating..... and being miserable doing it. If anyone has any questions, or is looking for that extra push, message me! Happy Sunday everyone!

Hi guys! Here is the new page for my business! Yes, I was originally Savage Training, but recently changed the name to Moxie Fitness! This name was more fitting for the message I was trying to get out to my clients. Having moxie means to have courage, determination, and nerve. When I train my clients I force them to find their reason for what they're doing so they have a reason to continue their journey into health and wellness. Having a why, keeps them focused, and having moxie means they are striving to be their best! Feel free to share my page with people you know that are looking to change their lives through health and fitness. There will be a lot of new things coming! This is all new so bear with me while I shift into this new role of business owner/mom! Thanks!
