Snake River Update - you will need both an Idaho and Wyoming Invasive Species permit if you are planning on paddling with us August 15 - 22. The Idaho permit can be obtained at the Idaho Parks and Recreation website. This seems to take a while to arrive by mail. The Wyoming permit can be obtained at http://wgfd.wyo.gov/ais and arrives fairly quickly. Drivers going through Wyoming will need a boat inspection and are required to stop at ALL inspection stations. An approved toilet system is required. Boom boxes are acceptable. Wag Bags are NOT allowed. We will be bringing a fire pan to meet the requirement, although we do not plan on having fires. We will be spending two nights on the Snake from Palisade Dam down toward Idaho Falls. We are also thinking of doing a one day trip on the Snake from just above Hoback Junction to the East Table Creek takeout. We will look at other paddling opportunities as time allows. Please let us know if you will be joining us.
