Cocalico Sportsmen's Association Cocalico Sportsmen's Association was founded in 1947 to further the outdoor sports of hunting, fishing and shooting.

Occupying over 110 acres of beautiful wooded land in Northern Lancaster County, the club and its 2000 plus members today maintain and promote the founders' spirit of outdoor sportsmanship with outstanding facilities for shotgun, rifle, handgun, and archery shooting, as well as fishing and hunting.

Cocalico Sportsmen Association has lost a Life member

Vincent Formosa, Jr., 96, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia.

He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Atanasio V. and Michelina (Iannucci) Formosa.

Vincent worked for Emerson Quiet for many years prior to his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting.

Vincent is survived by son, Michael Formosa, husband of Joyce of Levittown, daughter, Nanci, wife of Matthew Butterly of Philadelphia; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Vincent Formosa, III, and all of his siblings.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11:00, with Father Paul J. Borowski, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment will take place in the Swamp Cemetery.

UPDATE ON THE UPPER RANGE ROAD…. The upper ranges will be closed tomorrow…. They will be open for the weekend. Unfortunately they will be closed Monday and Tuesday of next week… sorry for the inconvenience but the overall improvements will be worth it!!

There will be a Hunting/Fishing/Shooting/Outdoor swap meet held at the club on September 20th from 8am to noon. All are welcome to attend and/or display. If you are selling you should bring your own table. There is limited space inside so you may want to bring a canopy as well. This is not a yard sale. It is strictly hunting, fishing, shooting & outdoors related. Buy/sell/trade with other sportsmen.

On June 7th we will be hosting a Youth Field Day put on by Lancaster County Sportsmen for Youth. The event sponsors will begin setting up the afternoon of Friday (June 6th). The entire club ground will be closed during this event.

The PA Game Commission will be utilizing our trap fields on December 27th to allow participants in the Middle Creek mentored waterfowl hunt to practice up prior to the hunt. The lower rifle range will be closed during this event.

Hello All, our youth BB-gun team sign-ups will be next Thursday 11/21 at 7pm at the clubhouse. This is a great winter activity for youth from 8-15yrs of age to develop proper shooting technique. The team meets weekly on Thursday evenings for training and practice and participates in several sanctioned competitions each season.
