Our past hurts become the lens through which we see the world. They quietly shape our thoughts, perceptions, emotions, and even the way we respond to life.

This is why I’m so passionate about subconscious healing. The old emotional wounds and limiting beliefs stored deep in the subconscious create the repeating patterns that keep us stuck — no matter how much inner work we do on the surface.

So often, when we think about healing, we focus on the hard work—unpacking the past, sitting with discomfort, making sense of what hurts. And while that work matters, healing our nervous system is *also* about learning to receive what is good. 💛

✨ Enter: glimmers. ✨

Glimmers (a term from Polyvagal Theory expert Deb Dana) are the small, often subtle moments that signal safety, connection, and ease to our nervous system. They’re the opposite of triggers—reminders that we are okay, that we are held, that life is offering us beauty even in the smallest ways.

☀️ Sunlight on your skin
💫 The way your body exhales when it feels safe
💛 A deep belly laugh
🌿 The smell of the earth after it rains

When we practice noticing glimmers, we train our nervous system to attune to safety instead of just danger. We widen our capacity to experience joy, peace, and presence. And over time, we create a more resourced and resilient inner world.

🌿 There are moments in our lives—small, quiet, and often overlooked—that hold the power to soften us, to ground us, to remind us that we are here.

✨ Fully here. In our bodies. In this moment. In a life that is unfolding with richness and depth all around us.

💭 But so often, we miss them. We move through our days caught in cycles of stress, urgency, or self-doubt, barely noticing the tiny moments of beauty, connection, and meaning that are already present.

❓ What if we slowed down?

❓ What if we allowed ourselves to receive the goodness that is here instead of always searching for what’s next?

💛 This is the essence of today’s somatic mindfulness meditation—a gentle invitation to find your glimmers.

🌟 Glimmers, as Polyvagal Theory expert Deb Dana describes them, are micro-moments of safety, connection, or joy. They are the cues that remind your nervous system, all is well.

🧠 Just as our bodies instinctively attune to threats, we can also learn to attune to these quiet reassurances that we are safe, we are held, we belong.

These moments may seem small, but they matter.

💫 They regulate.

💫 They restore.

💫 They remind us that life isn’t something we have to strive to perfect—it’s something we can open to, exactly as it is.

✨ Before we name an emotion, it often lives in the body as tension—a tight jaw, a heavy chest, a restless ache we can’t quite place. It feels big, overwhelming, sometimes even unbearable. But when we gently put words to what we’re experiencing, something shifts.

What once felt tangled and chaotic starts to soften.

What felt like a storm inside us begins to settle.

What was once an overwhelming wave of emotion becomes something we can sit with, breathe into, and gently explore.

🧠 Neuroscience shows that naming our emotions helps shift things in our brain, bringing more clarity and ease. Instead of being consumed by a wave of emotion, we become the one witnessing it. The moment we say, *Oh, this is sadness. This is grief. This is longing,* the body exhales. The intensity softens—not because we’ve pushed the feeling away, but because we’ve *met* it with understanding.

This is the power of turning toward ourselves with curiosity and care. Our emotions aren’t problems to fix or enemies to fight. They are messengers, carrying truth. And when we listen—when we name them with compassion—we create space for healing. 💛

In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to lose touch with who we truly are. But within each of us lies a wellspring of wisdom, compassion, and strength. This year, let's commit to reconnecting with that inner essence. 🌟🧘‍♀️

Healing begins when we honor our emotions, listen to our bodies, and treat ourselves with the same kindness and care we offer to others. When we slow down, breathe deeply, and turn inward, we create the space for true healing and growth. 🌿

😔 In a world that constantly pushes us to conform and perform, it's easy to lose touch with our true self—the essence of who we are beneath the layers of societal expectations and conditioned behaviors.

But, being disconnected from our true selves costs us so much!

Instead of following our true path, we pour our energy into achieving, performing, and perfecting, all while being caught in a whirlwind of expectations: society’s, our family’s, and even our own misguided notions of success and worthiness.

Deep inside, this leaves us feeling dissatisfied, disconnected, and like we’re just going through the motions. 💔
