We had a feeling she’d want to make a grand entrance... and wow, did she ever! 😅
After 27 hours of intense labor, baby girl decided to keep us on our toes. What started as a birth plan we had spent months preparing for ended with an emergency C section when she went into distress. Between some cord complications and the fact that she wasn’t descending, it became clear that our plans and her plans were not the same.
While it wasn’t the birth story we had envisioned, it was the birth story that got her here safely, and for that we are incredibly grateful 🙏🏼
Through it all, Chris was my rock. His strength and calm presence were such a source of comfort during the scariest moments. Watching him step into the role of father with so much love, tenderness, and selflessness has made me fall in love with him all over again. Gia is one lucky little girl 🤍
She spent her first few days in the NICU working through some blood sugar stabilization after a stressful arrival. Watching your child struggle, even in the smallest ways, is something no one can truly prepare for. We got a crash course in parenthood and learned very quickly just how deeply you can love someone you’ve only just met 😩
After a 6 day hospital stay, we’re finally home and soaking in every moment 🥰 She is healthy, perfect, and already the greatest blessing of our entire lives!
Everyone tells you the love you feel for your child is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, but it’s impossible to fully understand until that moment they place them in your arms. The second we saw her sweet little face, we were completely undone 🫠
And all that hair! Turns out the wicked heartburn was worth it after all 😂
Our hearts have never felt so full. We’re beyond grateful to have our girl home and are currently soaking up every newborn cuddle we can get 🥰
