As we enter one of the biggest weeks for sales, discounts, and promotions… we wanted to break up your feed with something different. We wanted to share a bit of our story with you all and provide some insight into our journey as a small business.
We opened Viv Cycle a few years ago with so much hope of bringing a unique fitness experience to Denver. We wanted to create a fun, inclusive, uplifting space that would have a positive impact on people who walked through the doors. We were lucky enough to have some of the absolute best humans get behind this idea and we quickly created something really special.
We were open for 8 months before the pandemic hit in March 2020, followed by 2 months of forced closures and 12 months of intense restrictions. The incredible support we saw during these times, coupled with relief packages and rent assistance, allowed us to survive. When COVID mandates were finally lifted, we felt absolutely ecstatic to have an opportunity to rebuild under more “normal” circumstances. But the world has changed so much from COVID, and continues to change with rising cases and looming restrictions, and we have seen a significant impact on our business. Our harsh reality is that expenses have returned to pre-COVID numbers but revenue has not. This is devastating and terrifying for us as this is obviously not sustainable.
We consider Viv a success today based on the dedicated team, tight-knit community, and safe space that we have built— every single person in the Viv Cycle family means the entire world to us and we want to continue to be a outlet for each of you. With that said, it’s important for us to provide some perspective around the fact that Viv Cycle’s future is at risk and we need your help now more than ever. We don’t want to know a world without Viv Cycle.
