Preseason & Tryout Information

We will be hosting open scrimmages to start the season at Clear Creek Valley Park - East Fields (5801 Lowell Lowell Blvd). This will take place 4/15 & 4/23 5:45 to Dark. We should have two full fields setup for everyone to get in on the action, and plan to grab food and drinks with everyone afterwards!

Tryouts are also at Clear Creek Valley Park and the dates are:
4/29 - Open
5/6 - Closed #1
5/13 - Closed #2

Come play ultimate with us! Space Ghosts will be hosting preseason pickup in April at Garfield Lake Park. Invite your friends, neighbors, colleagues… whoever wants to toss some disc.

We’re also throwing together a Space Ghost social to kick off the season and get to know fellow frisbee folks. Catch us at Improper City on 4/24 to learn more about the team and grab some brews.

And make sure to mark your calendars… tryouts will take place in May 👻

Our final captain announcement – Alyx Paisner (she/her) #20

Don’t let this cool cat fool you. She’s speedy and fiery hot (just like her red hair 🔥) once her cleats hit the field. Look away for a second and Alyx is already in the end zone snagging a disc.

This KC gal’s football team won the Super Bowl this year, and who’s to say she won’t also bring that championship energy to the Ghosts 👀. With her sharp wit and fresh perspective, we’re stoked to have her at the helm this season.

Captain announcement – Jonathan ‘Jono’ Spencer (he/him) #17

Returning for his second year as captain, Jono is one of the backbones of Space Ghosts (if ghosts had bones, that is). With his precise throws and strong defensive skills, he’s a menace on the field.

Born and raised in Georgia, Jono’s got southern charm but also an endless stream of sarcasm. Aaaaaand he’s not just a princess on his birthday… he’s always royalty in our eyes. 😍👑

Captain announcement – Shane McDevitt (he/him) #10

With 13 years of ultimate under his belt, Shane brings a lot of great experience but is still as fresh as ever. He is one of our staple handlers, calm and collected yet daring and decisive.

On the offseason, this is probably shredding the slopes of Copper or trailblazing somewhere in the Rockies. Adventure is his calling and the Ghosties have answered. 📞👻
