Good Morning Abs ☀️ Fun fact about me. I will never teach you anything that I don’t do first. So when it really burns you know that I am with you 100% 💪🏼

P.S I am obsessed with the ribbed biker shorts from they are so soft and comfy. Great for AZ summers! I have them in every color 😆

I find a lot of similarities between being a pilates instructor and mother. You spend a lot of your time encouraging and coaching others but sometimes you forget to take your own advice. This week has been a hard one for me mentally and physically. I feel drained and my emotions are all over the place. Finding time on the Reformer and mat to just move my body helps so much.

So here is my reminder to me and to you.

Just keep showing up. You don’t have to be perfect, it’s okay to be tired and messy, it’s okay to take it slow and listen to your body. But we don’t give up and we keep showing up 🖤

Here we go June! These three moves target the whole body 💪🏼 In the first two exercises focus on keeping your elbows under your shoulders and core engaged lifting up and away from the box. In the last exercise think about pushing the hip bones down into the box as your chest lifts and shoulders retract down the back.

Back at it! Took a break from posting to enjoy the last weeks of my pregnancy and then to recover from my c-section. Feels so good to get back on the Reformer and to have Peyton with me! I got cleared by my Dr. and by a pelvic floor specialist to exercise again. I was so excited to find out I don’t have any diastasis recti separation either. While part of me wants to jump back in and do all the things I have missed, I know I need to take it slow and build my core strength back up and reconnect to my body 🤍

Holidays always bring about stress and this year... there is more of it than ever. For a lot of people the first thing that goes in busy and stressful day is exercise. But the old saying is true movement is medicine. New research is finding that exercise is “powerful and wide-reaching, affecting not just muscles and the cardiovascular system, but almost every part of the body, from the immune system to the brain to the energy systems within individual cells.” Basically by exercising you create the medicine that your body needs to heal itself.

My challenge to you is to spend more time moving over this holiday season, whether it’s walks with the family or privates with me 😘

New standing arm series that also works your legs and core 🖤 Working on ☝🏻 yellow spring.

If you worked out with me today, we added a twist to twist & punch aka -stir the pot. Gotta get our arms ready for Thanksgiving cooking 😅🦃. Working on 1 💛 spring.

Spice up torso twist with a little lift and lower from your high kneeling position. Make sure to keep your hands in line with your sternum the entire time and to only rotate belly button up (hips stay square).

I’m working on☝🏻yellow to challenge core stability, but you can also use☝🏻blue to be more supported.

"CONCENTRATION is the secret of strength" I have a lot of clients that think they aren’t working unless they load on the resistance. They think the more weight lifted = success and progress. Pilates isn’t like that. Often times less weight is more challenging. At times, Pilates can feel light. At times you may wonder what exactly you are working. That’s why I am here for you 😘 In Pilates what may seem easy at first, often becomes more challenging over time when you learn how to recruit the muscles you want 💪🏼 Ready to build strength, tone, and stretch out ? Let’s work together! DM me to book your private session 30 or 50 minute!

* CO N T R OL • This Pilates Principle is important to remember in your practice. "To be in control is to understand and maintain the proper form, alignment and effort during an entire exercise." A lot of my clients new to Pilates notice that there is a lot to remember when doing Pilates - cues, coordination, alignment, etc and it can seem overwhelming. I promise you as I do them, it's a step by step process. One day the control that they seek will become second nature and movement will become effortless 🤍
