Get ready for 3 days of intense competition, targeting 9+ species, from July 10th-12th, 2026. Whether you're a seasoned pro or looking to test your skills, this length-based tournament offers both catch-and-release and catch-and-harvest options (except for Striped Bass, which is strictly C&R).

Join the action at Great Bay Outfitters in Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow anglers, compete for great prizes, and enjoy the thrill of kayak fishing in the beautiful Great Bay and surrounding estuaries. Big Bass USA is here to equip you with the best kayaks and gear to dominate the waters. Let's make some memories and reel in some giants!

With less than a month to go before our Mid Atlantic Kayak Open 7/10/26-7/12/26, we’ve had a ton of wonderful sponsors come on board. Captains meeting with be Great Bay Outfitters Friday 7/10/26 at 5pm with lines in the water at 6pm. It is officially Lure of the Month time, and we are kicking off the Spinnerbait Showdown!

If you are hitting local Delmarva waters, you know these are absolute killers for both chunky Largemouth and aggressive Snakeheads. There is nothing quite like that heavy thump when a fish tries to rearrange your lure's hardware.

The spinnerbait is the Swiss Army knife of your tackle box. Burn them, slow roll them, or bump them off stumps: they just work. If your blades are looking a little chewed up from toothy encounters, we have a solid wall of fresh ones ready at the shop.

Yoga is great for balance, but you shouldn't have to do a downward dog just to reach your rod! 🎣

Is your rod holder in the “sweet spot” or the “sore spot”? When you’re rigging your boat, it’s easy to just stick a holder on any flat surface, but your shoulders will definitely let you know if you made a mistake after a few hours on the water.

Here's a wild fact about one of the Chesapeake Bay's most intriguing residents, the Northern Snakehead (also known as Chesapeake Channa)! Unlike most fish, these incredible creatures can actually breathe air and survive out of water for short periods. They use a special lung-like organ, allowing them to tolerate low-oxygen environments and even 'walk' across land to new bodies of water!

While they're an invasive species, they're also known for being a challenging catch and a delicious meal. So next time you're out on the Choptank River or the Bay, keep an eye out for these unique fish!
