Update on the 46 federal cab…

After getting it blasted and all stripped down I got it leveled up on the jig. I set up a laser level and used tape to mark where to cut and put some reference lines to keep everything lined up. Then I put in some bracing to keep everything in place and square once it’s cut apart. Next up is cutting the cab in half to stretch it 5”! First job we are working on is this 46 federal cab. We are stretching and widening it to fit on a newer dually frame, and for the cab to be more of a modern size for driver and passenger comfort. It’s been a long time coming… I haven’t raced in two years. We had a good test today in preparation for the caraway crown tomorrow. 125 laps for $10,000 to win, over 30 cars on the entry list. It’s going to be a good race. Racing starts at 6. Hope to see you all there.
