Big shoutout to Jorge Carmona on an incredible debut victory this weekend at the Kingdom Grappling Invitational , taking the win in his super match. I couldn’t be more proud of this young man.
Jorge has always carried the heart, discipline, and drive of a true champion. Despite his young age, he’s stepping into the adult divisions, facing higher belts, winning tough matches and still staying humble. Being so young Jorge understands that winning is only part of the journey and that growth never stops.
Huge thank you to Jorge’s parents for trusting us at Grip Game to help develop and sharpen his abilities in all areas ,his stand up game is just as impressive. Their support is a massive part of this success. When athlete and family are aligned, special things happen. Jorge is well on his way to becoming not just a champion, but a true ambassador for our sport.
It’s rare to have a young athlete walk into the room asking to be challenged, asking to be pushed beyond comfort, asking for more. Jorge is setting the standard with his work ethic, focus, and hunger. It has become contagious, raising the level of everyone around him.
There are several several young athletes at Grip Game following that same path now daily, and I’m blessed to coach all of them.Their time is also coming and when their names are called, they’ll be ready. We are not only building athletes with a mental toughness, that can’t be broken. we are building leaders for our communities.
This is only the beginning, Jorge. Stay hungry. Stay humble. The work continues. 💪🥋
