School is just starting, come find out about wrestling. No experience necessary, even if you play other sports or participate in other activities for LOHS, wrestling is a sport that can work around your schedule. WE PRACTICE AS A TEAM BUT COMPETE AS INDIVIDUALS.

Live Oak High School Wrestling Team represented well this past weekend at Deep South Nationals. Even had a FORMER wrestler compete in the MEN'S OPEN division.

INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT
Josiah Sejour placed 3rd in the High School Boys @ 150lb going 5-1

Laken Griffin placed 1st in the High School Girls FREESTYLE @ 132lb going 3-0

Jordan Griffin (class of '21) placed 2nd in the Men's Open Division @ 165lb going 2-1

Blake Campo and Rylan Gnann competed well but fell short of placing.

DUAL TOURNAMENT
Josiah Sejour helped his team place 7th out of 68 teams by going 7-2
Rylan Gnann helped his team place 28th out of 68 teams 7-1
Laken Griffin helped her team place 5th out of 20 teams 8-3
Addison Borne helped her team place 17th out of 20 teams going 2-9
Blake Campo competed well for his team and had a solid weekend going 5-4

These two girls from Live Oak High School helped Team Louisiana Girls Wrestling Team secure the FIRST EVER dual win at the USA Wrestling Women's National Dual Championships in Westfield, IN. TEAM LA girls went on to win another dual so 2 total and placed 2nd in their day 2 bracket competition!
