Happy Birthday to Coach Jeff Mengel! From my first day fighting to my last, Coach Mengel was always there. Whether in the corner giving instructions or quietly holding a spit bucket, his thought was always to get me to be a better fighter or what was best for me and I’ll always appreciate him for that. He helped get the DeMotte boxing club started where we’ve had over 35 State champs! He stopped me in the hallway my senior year of high school and he was by my side for when I fought on espn, smacked contender star, Jimmy Lange, around, won the Indiana State Title, trained in haunted barns in Belfast, New York, and when I decided it was time for my final bout. I look up to coach Mengel so much and I wish him a great 76th Birthday!! He definitely deserves it! Thank you, Coach!

Tomorrow is the last day of the month.. please get your gym dues in. We pay at the beginning of the month. Reminder that if you use the gym, come to regular classes, go to open gyms, etc.. that is included in your monthly membership of $40.

We hope everyone can make it out for the parade today. We are number 58 in the lineup if you go to the north side of Demotte and make a right where Gene and Tony’s auto Sales are, that is the road all of the floats lineup on. Drop off is between 9 and 9:30.
