🌅 Some days are about more than just catching fish.
This morning started with a drive down to Lake Shafer to pick up Grandpa at his place. We got the boat in the water, pushed off from the dock, and started chasing crappie before the lake got busy.
The water was muddy, but that didn’t stop the fish from finding what they wanted.

Those two colors teamed up to put 6 nice crappie in the boat, with Grandpa and I finishing tied at 3 fish each.
Of course, Grandpa had to make sure he caught both the biggest fish and the smallest fish of the day. 😂
Watching him put fish in the boat while testing new colors made for a pretty special day. That’s what Blackhawk Baits is all about—family, fishing, and making memories on the water.
The fish approved. Grandpa approved. I’d call that a successful day. 👊
