What’s in a name? For us, it’s more than just words.
San Juan Sparkles and Spurs represents the heart, grit, sparkle, and tradition of a mounted drill team. ✨🤠
Sparkles for the shine we bring to every arena.
Spurs for the grit, dedication, and partnership between horse and rider.
San Juan for the roots, community, and pride behind our team.
But the name really comes alive when we ride together—moving as one, pushing each other, trusting our horses, and creating something bigger than any one rider.
A name is just a name… until you give it meaning. ❤️🐴

A few fun facts about me! ❤️

🌮 My go-to food is tacos—but not restaurant tacos. Homemade tacos are the best!

☀️🌙 I’m neither a morning person nor a night person. I don’t wake up perky, but I’m not grouchy either! 😂 I like to be in bed by 9, although that definitely doesn’t mean my brain is shutting down!

🍞 One skill I’d love to perfect is sourdough bread making. Although, learning to breakaway rope would be pretty fun too!

❤️ What motivates me most is simply living life to the fullest right now and being as healthy as I can so I can spend as much time as possible making memories with my kids and grandkids.

Small Steps, Big Progress 🐴✨

Big things don’t happen overnight. They happen one small step, one ride, one practice, and one moment of trust at a time.

In mounted drill, it’s the little things—keeping formation, listening to your horse, making that turn just right, riding in sync, and cheering each other on—that eventually create something BIG. 🤠🐎

Every practice may not feel perfect, but every practice moves us forward. 💪
