🌟 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐌 🌟

This week, one of our very own elite youth players just wrapped up an incredible experience at a soccer camp across the Pond, over in Italy — & let’s just start by saying couldn’t be prouder! 🇮🇹⚽️

Adam’s journey hasn’t been a typical one. Just two years ago, he made the tough move from New Jersey to South Florida. It was a major adjustment — new home, new environment, new everything. But through it all, Adam found his escape and strength on the soccer field. Even more incredible? Soccer was brand new to him. A sport his parents never expected him to fall in love with — let alone thrive in — quickly became his passion.

What’s unfolded since then has been nothing short of amazing. Adam has grown from a player who once struggled with confidence into a true leader — someone who sets the tone at training, lifts up his teammates, and leads by example. The younger players look up to him — especially my nephew, Jameson Hartigan, who absolutely idolizes him.

On a personal note, the bond Adam and I share as coach and player is one I hold close. We’re both left-footed (obviously elite 😉), and we share a sense of humor that — let’s just say — not everyone finds funny, but I think he’s hilarious. He truly feels like one of my own kids, and watching his transformation has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my coaching journey.

Since opening this academy with my business partner, Adam stands out as one of the athletes who has made the most growth — not just technically and tactically, but in maturity, leadership, and character. The kind of growth that shapes who you are on the field and in life.

You’d never guess Isabella has only been playing soccer for just over a year. She’s one of the 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝—but what truly sets her apart… is her heart ♡︎. Her work ethic, focus, & hunger to improve are the marks of a future champion.

When Isabella told me she wanted to become a professional soccer player when she gets older, she asked if I could help her reach that level. I told her (with confidence in my abilities to play the game & coach it as well), “yes, I can. But not without your help, and on one 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: that she matches the 100% effort I bring to every training session, no matter what beautiful madness my personal life delivers to me upon awakening almost daily, when I get on the pitch not a single thought, enters my head besides the playroom training and the game.

I made it simple for her: No shortcuts. No excuses. Leave your personal life in the car, and at the end of the session all your sweat potential tears and dirty knees will be left on the field. That training session last week, she said she agreed to my conditions before I could even finish completing the sentence (𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠).

Last season in the recreational league, she plays in where I am her coach, our team, although clearly outplaying our opponents, we’re only able to win one game the entire season, which just happened to be the first game. Isabella didn’t let that define her. In fact, where you would expect most kids to be completely defeated losing weekend after weekend, more players start to join our academy and each week they were happier and happier with how they played-they began to understand that the score didn’t really matter in recreational Soccer. What matter was are we improving compared to where we started? Isabella was in still as a stand out. I have multiple parents and coaches. Ask me how long she’s been playing soccer for almost every week.
