Mike McCarthy just made a HUGE statement about Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Drew Allar.

After an impressive preseason debut, the Pittsburgh head coach believes Allar has the talent of a much higher draft pick.

In his first NFL action, the rookie completed 10 of 13 passes for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns, while adding a rushing score as the Steelers rolled past the Packers 28-9.

McCarthy said: 🗣️ “I don’t know what you’re looking at if you don’t see a first-round talent in Drew.”

That’s massive praise for a player Pittsburgh selected in the third round.

With Aaron Rodgers expected to lead the Steelers this season, Allar has the perfect opportunity to develop behind a future Hall of Famer before potentially taking over the offense in the years ahead.
