We’re so excited to announce that we will be hosting Master Ballet Classes NEXT SATURDAY (5/9)! These classes are open to all of our dancers: competition team members, those interested in joining the team, and our recreational dancers as well.
Jamie Salmon received her early ballet training with Dana Kennedy, Melissa Hayden, and Paul Mejia before continuing at the North Carolina School of the Arts, the School of American Ballet, and the Joffrey Ballet School.
As a member of the Joffrey Concert Group, she performed leading roles in both classical and contemporary works, collaborating with choreographers such as Kirk Peterson and Louis Falco, while also appearing in television, film, and print.
She began her teaching career as Ballet Mistress for the Joffrey Concert Group and went on to teach at The Ailey School, Peridance, Ballet Academy East, and Broadway Dance Center, where she has been on faculty for over 15 years and remains on staff today. Jamie has also served on faculty for Dance Caravan, the Professional Dance Teachers Association, and Dance Masters, and has judged for Stars of Tomorrow.
With more than 40 years of experience, Jamie now teaches at Pipeline Dance Training—a new professional mentoring program in NYC for dancers 17+—as well as Prestige Academy of Dance and Inspiration Dance Academy in New Jersey. Her students have gone on to perform on Broadway, television, major companies, and at the nation’s top ballet schools and dance programs.
