Onesquethaw Smoke The Smoke is the Capital District’s newest club lacrosse team. We are a fully sanctioned US Box Lacrosse Association team.

The club plays out of the Capital District YMCA -Bethlehem Branch.

We have been working with our friends at the Bethlehem YMCA to bring you the First Annual Onesquethaw Smoke Developmental Box League. The focus of this league is to develop the box specific skills that translate directly to the field game. Your child will learn the finer points of shooting vs finishing, stick protection and small sided team strategy. All of our coaches have college field-lacrosse coaching experience and are active box lacrosse players. That means they all have experience translating the indoor game to field players and help you adapt it to your outdoor game. Your child will get more runs and more touches than traditional summer leagues & tournaments and we guarantee that there will be no rain cancellations.

Register now because teams are limited to 15 players to ensure ample playtime. We will be playing under a modified rule set that does not allow slashing or cross checking. Each player will receive a smoke practice jersey in their team color. Teams will play on either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday. Games will begin at 6:00pm and 7:00pm at the Capital District YMCA-Bethlehem Branch located at 900 Delaware Ave. Delmar, NY. Games will consist of (2) 25 minute running halves with a 5 minute half time. Overtime will be 5 minutes sudden-death in the case of a tie. The playing surface is Sports Court so please wear good sneakers with ankle support. You do not need a box helmet or box specific pads-field pads are fine. Make sure you bring your water bottle for this fast paced, fun version of lacrosse. Water will be available for refilling.

Session I June 12-July 7

Midget (Grades 7-9) Mon/Wed

HS Elite (Grades 10-12) Tue/Thur

Session II July 10-August 12

Midget (Grades 7-9) Mon/Wed

Session III August 7- August 31

Tyke (Grades 1-3) Mon/Wed

You will be notified by email which team you have been assigned to each Sunday before each session begins.
