Who has two thumbs and misses your ass? Spoiler alert, it’s this guy! We have all been through a LOT these past few years. The world has changed around us and now, we’ll just wow. Anyway, my point is that I want to see your face again and give you some dopamine to make your world just a little better via a serious ass kicking and fun along the way. I’m doing a little trial week so see how this goes. This Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and next Monday and Wednesday I have added some group bootcamp classes to my schedule. I’m going to Florida for some sun after that but I will be back and work out our final evening and weekend schedule based on how this goes. Even if you can’t come to one of these classes I want to hear from you! So hit me up, come to class or just just shoot me a hello! I miss connecting with my friends! Hope to see you soon! ❤️❤️❤️ also if you are seeing this on Facebook my account was hacked 10 months ago and I won’t get any messages. Find my new account and request me!

Failure is opportunity.

Failure 😬🤦‍♂️It’s something we have been conditioned to see as a horrible thing to be avoided at all costs ☠️ For me failing also brings up a lot of shame and negative self-talk. Last night I spilled a glass of water and went up one side of myself and down the other. Okay, sure, I have made some terrible meals, forgotten s**t, shrunk clothing in the laundry and lost clients. When I fail at something I have options. I could a) do what I have always done and beat myself up or blame someone else, or b) take a step back, observe with a neutral point of view and see it as a learning opportunity. Unless the cost of that failure was a life or limb you will probably have an opportunity to try again. When that time comes you will need a plan. Failure happens. It will keep happening. If you keep doing what you have always done you are going to get what you have always got. Cut yourself some slack, take a step back and try to practice failing as an opportunity to learn, to grow and to get something new. You truly deserve it. ☀️❤️

Taking a bit of time to take care of the mind or body with a hot bath or workout are great and necessary but do they truly demonstrate self-love? I’m not sure. For me the time I need to practice self-love the most is the hidden times that I usually can’t see until after they are over and I am talking s**t on myself.

When I’m on my way home from the grocery store and suddenly the bag of jalapeño Cheetos have disappeared 🪄💫or at 2am when that new series I just started is suddenly over 👀The dialogue I have with myself at those times is really very ugly.

I have habits and coping strategies in place that I really want to change and I believe it will make my life better if I do. For some reason these behaviors have proven quite challenging to face directly. Why? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Maybe it is just part of me. What I do know is that shaming myself for them allows the ugly cycle to continue. Trigger➡️binge➡️temporary relief➡️guilt/shame ♾ I’m trying to catch myself now. To be aware when I am having a binge or trying to sooth my anxiety. Sometimes I can even catch myself when I am triggered and winding up then take some time to breath🧘‍♂️, but usually not. That’s when I try to love, to accept, to just sit and not dump hate on myself. It’s uncomfortable. It’s like sandpaper in my mind just grinding away. I long to keep my patterns going 🍔📺📱it’s hard not to judge myself for that but I know I’m still a good guy who wants to do good things and help the people around me. I work towards letting go of habits that take me away from where I want to be by creating new small habits that take me closer to who I truly am. I want you to do the same. If I can sit in non-judgement and start shifting my automated behaviors then I know that you can too. If this is what I believe then I have to do it. I want to love myself better because I believe I am worth it and I believe you are worth it too ❤️ Smile and love yourself friends. Do it the hardest in the times you aren’t perfect.

Long post but here are the bullet points
**1** Re-Opening
**2** Outside classes in Sept
**3** Mask Wearing
**4** New Members
**5** Current Services
**6** New Services (yay!)

**1**

I have submitted my plan to re-open and am now waiting for approval, inspection, filters, cleaning supplies, etc. I'm hoping for 2-3 weeks from now but we'll see!

**2**

In September I am going to do outside classes in person + Zoom at the same time whenever possible. After that it may get a bit chilly out for the outside thing. Contact me for more specific instructions about this.

**3**

The biggest obstacle that I see for people starting class again (or rather the biggest negative reaction I have heard) is the mask at all times requirement. This does NOT apply to outside classes and could change at any time. I'm a little nervous about working out in a mask because of the discomfort factor but I'm willing to give it a shot for sure!
Here is a link about mask wearing while working out that also says some of the best fitness masks. https://tinyurl.com/yb62rapv. I will be ordering a few of these to try out. I'm looking for comfort, breathability and looking cute. I will let you guys know what I find BUT you should do some looking around too! I have been making fun of as****es wearing masks at the gym for elevation training for years now, so now we just adapt!

**4**

I would love to see new folks at CKB! If you have never used kbs before, please don't be intimidated. They are just another tool and I have a huge range of weights (5-10lbs to 100lbs, cleaned between uses) OR feel free to bring your own dumbells/kbs, etc.. As always the first class (in-person only) is free to try out and you can find the schedule online at www.catskillkettlbells.com/schedule. I would happily add newbies to Zoom after we meet on zoom or in person before a class trial.
