🚵‍♀️Great opportunity to learn more about E-bike SAFEty! Check it out!

🚵‍♀️E-bikes are a fun and efficient way to travel, but safety always comes first!

Whether commuting, exploring trails, or riding through your neighborhood, know the rules and keep everyone safe. E-bikes reach higher speeds than traditional bikes, so stay alert and ride responsibly.

Quick guide to e-bike classes:
• Class 1: Pedal-assist only, up to 20 mph—great for casual riders
• Class 2: Throttle or pedal-assist, up to 20 mph—ideal for commuters
• Class 3: Pedal-assist only, up to 28 mph—best for experienced cyclists (often roadway-only)

We are saddened to learn of this morning’s fatal crash. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the victim’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

This tragedy marks the seventh fatal crash in Delaware County this year and the ninth traffic-related death.

Delaware Police Chief Adam Moore said a Honda minivan was heading south on U.S. 42 when it collided head-on with a Kia SUV.
