If your weekend looked anything like hauling mulch, chasing kids from one activity to the next, planting flowers, cleaning the house, swimming with the family, or spending hours on your feet doing ALL the things... your body has been working harder than you think.

The weekend movement hits different than weekday movement. 🌸☀️🏊‍♀️🚗

Before you crawl into bed tonight, give your body a little love with a quick stretch session. Nothing fancy. Just 5-10 minutes to help loosen up those hips, hamstrings, and shoulders so Monday morning doesn't feel like you got hit by a truck when you roll out of bed.

My 3 favorite stretches tonight:
✨ Child's Pose
✨ Figure 4 Stretch
✨ Thread the Needle

That's it. Simple. Effective. Feels amazing.

Consider it your thank-you note to the body that carried you through another full weekend.

Who's stretching with me tonight? 👇

Tell me your favorite stretch in the comments so we can all add a few new favorites to our routine!

If you're a parent, this is your sign to get your kids in the kitchen!

Not when they're older. Not when they finally show interest.
Now! Today it was homemade sourdough waffles with my little bestie, Rosie. 💓

Maybe for you it's letting your child stir ingredients, wash produce, chop veggies with a child-safe knife, crack eggs, or simply help choose what fruits, veggies, and proteins go on the grocery list.

Will it take longer? Yep.

Will there be flour on the counter, eggshells in the bowl, and a mess to clean up? Probably.

Will it be worth it? Every.single.time.

Because while you're making a meal, you're also teaching life skills, confidence, independence, and what REAL food looks like.

In a world where ingredient labels are starting to read more like chemistry experiments than food, our kids need us to teach them differently.

They need to know that food comes from farms, gardens, kitchens, and family recipes—not just boxes, bags, and drive-thru windows.

And before anyone comes for me... yes, the occasional chicken nugget is okay. 😉

This isn't about perfection.

It's about exposure.
It's about education.
It's about creating memories around food instead of confusion around food.

One day they won't remember every toy you bought them...But they'll remember standing on a stool beside you, mixing pancake batter, sneaking chocolate chips, and learning how to nourish themselves.

That's a lesson worth making time for.

Who's getting their kids in the kitchen this week? 👇

For the last few years, I was convinced I was allergic to everything outside. Runny nose. Itchy eyes. Congestion. The whole package. What started as seasonal allergies slowly turned into a year-round relationship with OTC allergy meds.

So I finally decided to get tested. The result? 🥁

I'm only allergic to... dust.

You know, that harmless little substance that lives on furniture, ceiling fans, baseboards, air vents, carpets, blankets, cars, closets, and basically every square inch of planet Earth. 🤦‍♀️😂

Since I've been on a journey to explore more natural wellness options, I stumbled across this little red light therapy nose gadget. And yes, I realize I look like a cross between Rudolph and a sci-fi movie character while wearing it. My husband can't even look at me without laughing. 😆

I've been using it for about a week now, and while the jury is still out, I will say my nasal congestion and irritation seem noticeably better. Is it placebo? Is it legit? Is my nose just impressed by the fancy red lights? I honestly don't know yet.

What I do know is that I'm always curious about tools and habits that may support my health before automatically reaching for another pill.

Red light therapy has been studied for things like supporting circulation, reducing inflammation, promoting recovery, and helping the body's natural healing processes. Whether this tiny nose version ends up being a long-term win remains to be seen, but so far, it's been an interesting experiment.

So if you see me walking around looking like a glowing reindeer, just know I'm out here doing science. 🔬🤣

Have you ever tried a wellness trend, gadget, or natural remedy that sounded completely ridiculous... but actually helped?

For 10 months, I've been doing ONE habit that has completely changed my sleep...

And honestly? It's the best habit I've built all year.

🙋‍♀️ Confession time:

I used to be the queen of bedtime scrolling. I'd tell my husband I was headed to bed. An hour later? He'd come upstairs and find me in the exact same position...

Phone in hand. Scrolling.

"Didn't you say you were going to sleep?" 😆

I knew it was a problem. Not because I was doing anything important. Not because I was being productive. But because I was stealing time from the one thing my body desperately needed...

💤 SLEEP.

So 10 months ago, I made one simple change.

Every night, as the LAST step of my bedtime routine, I put my phone on the charger...

In my bathroom. Yep, you read that correctly!

Not on my nightstand.
Not within arm's reach.
Not "just in case."

In. The. Bathroom.

I stacked it onto my evening routine so it became automatic...And wow... I've never slept better!

No more "one more reel."
No more checking emails.
No more random Google searches about things that absolutely did not need to be researched at 10:30 PM.

Just sleep.

And here's the thing... I KNOW I'm not the only one. How many of us spend all day saying we're exhausted... Then climb into bed and hand our brains a front-row ticket to endless stimulation? If you're constantly tired, waking up groggy, struggling with energy, or feeling like your brain never shuts off... Your phone might be part of the problem.

Tonight, try this:

📱 Charge your phone somewhere other than your bedroom.

Just for one night.

See what happens when bedtime becomes about sleeping instead of scrolling.

Who's willing to try it? Be honest...

Are you a bedtime scroller too? 🙋‍♀️

🔥 Want to spice up your workout routine?

Try this Dumbbell Ski + Punch combo! 👊

This fun compound movement works your entire body in one exercise:

✅ Hip hinge = hamstrings, glutes, and lower back
✅ Punch = arms, chest, shoulders, and back
✅ Bonus: it gets that heart rate up FAST!

This is one of my favorite ways to add a little variety to strength training while still getting a ton of muscle groups involved.

A few tips:
✔️ Start with lighter weights
✔️ Focus on good form before speed
✔️ Keep your core engaged throughout the movement

Remember, workouts don't have to be boring to be effective. Sometimes a simple tweak is all it takes to challenge your body in a new way!

That's the question I ask myself every time the hubs and I make sourdough. We don't eat much bread, but when we do, it's usually because we made it ourselves. Not because bread is "bad." Not because carbs are the enemy. Not because we're trying to earn it.

Because making it changes the relationship. It takes planning. It takes patience. It takes effort. And something funny happens when you can't have it instantly...

You appreciate it more. You become connected to the process instead of just consuming the product. In a world where we can have almost anything delivered to our doorstep within hours, we've lost some of the gratitude that comes from creating, waiting, and anticipating.

That's why I love making sourdough. Not just for the ingredients. Not just for the taste. But because it reminds me that good things often take time. And honestly? That lesson applies to so much more than bread.

Your health. Your strength. Your energy. Your confidence.
Most of us want results immediately. But the things that last are usually built slowly, fold by fold, day by day—just like a loaf of sourdough.

For us, carbs aren't something we fear. We enjoy fruits, vegetables, rice, pasta, and yes...occasionally a thick slice of homemade sourdough drizzled with honey or EVOO. The difference is we're intentional about it.

Maybe that's what's missing for so many people—not more restriction, but more connection.

Tell me... what's something you've made from scratch that made you appreciate it more? 👇

☀️ SUMMER IS BUSY... but your nutrition doesn't have to be!

Running from the pool 🏊‍♀️ to baseball games ⚾, summer camps 🎨, vacations 🚗, and everything in between? This is your reminder that a smoothie can be your secret weapon.

When life gets hectic, smoothies are one of the easiest ways to pack in nutrition without spending hours in the kitchen. They're quick, portable, refreshing, and perfect for busy moms who need something nourishing NOW—not after they've finished taking care of everyone else.

My favorite smoothie formula:

✅ Protein Powder
✅ Greek Yogurt
✅ Fruit
✅ Veggies
✅ Liquid of Choice (milk, almond milk, water, etc.)

🍓 Fruits to add:
• Strawberries
• Blueberries
• Raspberries
• Bananas
• Mango
• Pineapple
• Peaches
• Cherries

🥬 Veggies to sneak in:
• Spinach
• Kale
• Cauliflower
• Zucchini
• Cucumber
• Carrots
• Frozen riced cauliflower (you won't even taste it!)

🥣 Bonus add-ins:
• Greek yogurt
• Chia seeds
• Flax seeds
• Oats
• Nut butter

The best part? You can prep smoothie packs ahead of time and toss everything into the blender when you're racing out the door.

Because let's be honest... summer schedules may be unpredictable, but fueling your body shouldn't be.

Save this post for your next grocery trip and tell me👇

What's your favorite smoothie ingredient?
