At the beginning of the season, I started putting together a video for Anna.
Not because she needed motivation.
Not because she wasn't working hard.
But because sometimes athletes are so focused on what they still need to improve that they don't always see how far they've already come.
After each meet, I added another clip.
Another race. Another PR. Another accomplishment.
What started as a simple highlight reel became a season-long record of growth.
The video captures an incredible journey:
✔️ Months of off-season training, preparation, and attention to detail
✔️ Early-season breakthroughs that showed what was possible
✔️ Consistent improvement throughout the season
✔️ Four personal records in a single day at True Team State
✔️ Helping set a new school record in the 4x100 relay
✔️ Qualifying for the Minnesota State Meet
✔️ Continuing to rise to the occasion as the competition got tougher
✔️ Saving her best performance for the biggest stage
✔️ Setting a new 100-meter PR and school record in the State Finals
✔️ Finishing 5th overall in Minnesota
The most rewarding part wasn't any single race.
It was watching what can happen when talent is matched with consistency, preparation, and attention to detail.
Great athletes don't peak by accident. They stack good days on top of good days, trust the process, and keep showing up when nobody is watching.
This video isn't just about one great performance. It's a reminder of what can happen when preparation meets opportunity and an athlete commits to the process.
Congratulations, Anna. The accomplishments are impressive, but the person you've become along the way is what I'm most proud of.
