💧 HYDRATE FIRST. THEN PRACTICE. ⚽️

As our young athletes get ready for the first practices of the soccer season, we want to remind parents that hydration starts the day before activity. Especially with temperatures expected to reach 100°F+.

As firefighters, we know how quickly heat can affect the body. Help your athlete stay ahead of the heat by hydrating before, during, and after every activity.

We want to wish all of our young athletes the best of luck this soccer season! Let’s work together to keep our kids safe, healthy, hydrated, and ready to play! ⚽️💧

⚽️🟨 BUILDING THE NEXT GENERATION OF REFEREES! 🟥⚽️

Great morning at Frontera Fields as our referees hit the field for training in preparation for the Fall 2026 season!

Today we welcomed participants from both of our referee pathways:

🟢 Youth Referee Program | Ages 9–12
Giving our younger players an opportunity to learn the game from a different perspective, build confidence and leadership skills, and get hands-on experience officiating.

🟡 Certified Referee Course | Ages 13+
Preparing new and returning referees with the knowledge and skills they need to officiate games this fall.

We love seeing so many young people willing to step up, learn, and take on a new role in our soccer community. Referees are an essential part of the game, and developing them right here in Del Rio helps keep our program growing strong! 💪⚽️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out today and to those who helped provide the training and mentorship.

Do you love soccer and want to be part of the game in a new way?

This FREE opportunity is open to all DRLYSA Fall 2026 players ages 9–12 who are registered for the fall season.

📅 Saturday, August 22
⏰ 8:30 AM

Participants will:
✅ Learn the basics of officiating soccer
✅ Build leadership, confidence, and communication skills
✅ Referee Toddler and 6U games during the season with mentor support
✅ Earn a food voucher for every game they referee!

This is a fun way to give back to the game, learn the Laws of Soccer, and develop skills that will benefit you both on and off the field.

⚠️ Requirements:

* Must be 9–12 years old
* Must be registered for the DRLYSA Fall 2026 season
* Must attend Aug 22 training session

⚽️ A GREAT START TO THE FALL SEASON! ⚽️

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing coaches who attended our Coaches Clinic this morning! We had a wonderful turnout, and we truly appreciate each of you for volunteering your time and stepping up to make this season possible for our players. 💙⚽️

A very special shoutout to Chris Molano with Acquire More EDU and Frontline Medical Transports LLC for sharing his knowledge and providing our coaches with valuable CPR and emergency situation training. Thank you for helping us make player safety a priority!

📋 Coaches in attendance received their team rosters today and will be using this coming week to reach out to their players and families. Parents, please be on the lookout for a call or message from your coach!

DRLYSA is looking for food vendors for our Fall 2026 soccer season!

📅 Season: September 12 – November 9
⏰ Game Days: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

We are looking for:

⭐ Committed season-long vendors who can join us throughout the season
⭐ Pop-up vendors who can be scheduled on select game days based on availability

📣 Applications will be reviewed this Saturday!
➡️ Please submit your application by Friday to be considered.

With busy soccer fields full of players and families each weekend, this is a great opportunity to get your business in front of our community!

⚽️ COACHES — THE SEASON IS ALMOST HERE! ⚽️

Our DRLYSA Coaches Clinic is this Saturday, August 15 at 9:00 AM! Check your email or TeamReach for more details

All head coaches are required to attend as we prepare for another great season. We’ll cover season expectations, practice planning, player development, important resources, and everything you need to get your team started.

📋 Coaches will receive their team rosters at the clinic and will begin contacting parents next week.

📱 Parents: If you have not heard from your coach by August 19, please reach out to us. If your phone number has changed since registration, please message us at 830-308-7278 so we can make sure your coach has the correct contact information.

Once coaches have completed all requirements, teams are cleared to begin practicing after the clinic! 🙌⚽️

Thank you to all of our volunteer coaches for giving your time to our players and our soccer community. We’re ready for a great season!
