Before Hunting Season there is Fishing Season! An Incredible weekend for the “Sycamore Sicario’s” at the Port Mansfield Fishing Tournament!!
This was our third year competing as a team, and it truly took every one of us to make it happen. We came so close to claiming the top three fish overall, and the wins we did take home made it all the more special.
Kimberly won the Women’s Artificial Division and brought in the biggest trout of the tournament. Cody dominated the Artificial Lure Boat Division for the biggest flounder. Dalton put our biggest redfish on the board, while Peter added more solid reds and a handful of flounder. Captain Blaine put us on the fish time after time, navigating us through the rough conditions left over from Tropical Storm Bertha.
It was pure teamwork from start to finish. Super proud of this crew!

In case you weren’t sure this is my son Mitchell and my two grandchildren. Along with his wife Krystal they own Dan’s fly shop in Lake City, Colorado.  if you love hunting, you usually love fishing too. Go visit, you won’t regret it!

Big things are happening at Dan's Fly Shop!

Over the last several weeks, we've been putting in a lot of long days and hard work behind the scenes to get the shop updated, refreshed, and stocked with exciting new gear for the season.

As a small family business, it's truly a family effort. Between Mitchell, Krystal, Mason, and Emma, there has been no shortage of helping hands (and a few tiny supervisors) making sure everything is ready for another great summer in Lake City.

We've been reorganizing, bringing in new products, expanding selections, and working hard to create an even better experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
