DeFuniak Springs Triathlon is a go. Defuniak Springs Triathlon has nine law Enforcement officers making sure roads are safe for 4 to 5 hours. Defuniak Springs Triathlon has permission to delay start to allow rain to pass. Packet pick up starts at 5:45am . To allow for safe driving the race will start 8am am. Safe travels . Defuniak Springs Triathlon May 2,2026 will be raced Saturday morning. Thank you

Friday Afternoon 1:09 pm on a rainy day. Still like glass for the swim Course. Swim course is a Triangle Turn Left at both Bouys. TRIANGLE SWIM COURSE. I said right in video . Turn LEFT!! It is slightly longer than 600 meter swim.

NEW BIKE MILE DISTANCE WILL BE ABOUT 11.72 PER GARMIN , 11.8 MILES FROM Chevrolet Equinox which was bought at Triangle Chevrolet a sponsor. DeFuniak Springs Triathlon is extremely well marked. Maybe best marked course I have seen my 42 Triathlon career. Foward Defuniak has several options if rain is a serious issue. We will be racing on Saturday May 2 2026. We have nine law Enforcement with a very well organized plan for our safety. Today , we had a slight adjustment on the bike course . The bike course is now a loop. From Circle Drive turn Right on Jackson Street . From Jackson Street turn left onto 2nd Street . About 1 mile into the Bike Course 2nd Street merges onto a slight left turn onto CO Highway 280 A . At MILE 6 on the Bike course , CO Highway 280 A will run into CO Highway 280 E . A photo will lots of left turn arrows is there. Turn LEFT onto CO Highway 280 E. East Baptist Church is mile 10.1 on Bike course . East Baptist Church is also the run turn around be very careful there. CO Highway 280E turns into Bay Ave . At 11.1 mile on Bike Course turn left from Bay Ave onto Circle Drive . About .62 miles or 1000 meters to the finish line to 95 Circle Drive . About 11.72 to 11.8 miles is the Bike course.

Here is the run course one corner turn . Start and finish on Circle Drive. Circle Drive running out turn right on Bay Ave . Out back run course. Running in from Bay Ave take a left onto Circle Drive. Then run back to the transition area and the finish line on Circle Drive.

Here is the bike turn around. The turn around are roads CO Highway 280 A and CO Highway 280 E , Mickinnon Bridge Road Red Hill Road . Please look at comments for several Bike route photos Defuniak Springs Triathlon will have a total of 8 sheriff employees 7 officers and one leader . They will be staged at certain main intersections and be on the Bike course . Reminder know the bike route and the bike route is open to automobile traffic. Stay safe and be careful and go Fast !!

Trisignup has Bike and Run Course information. Time to sign up. Defuniak Springs Triathlon will have Sheriff department placed in strategic intersections . See you at the race

Upon leaving the Start, the cyclists will go East on Circle Drive and right (South) on S. 2nd Street (Hwy. 280A) past Gillis Chapel and continuing on McKinnon Bridge Rd. until the intersection of Red Hill Rd. where the route will make a sharp left turn and begin to head North on County Hwy. 280E (Bay Ave.) to Circle Drive and turning LEFT returning to the Start/Transition Area.

Exit Transition on Circle Drive, turn RIGHT on Bay Ave. and continue ~1 mile to Baptist Church and Water Stop, Turn around and return to Finish Line retracing the route in reverse.
