As the Seniors sign the “Barney Box” at the GMC meet, it signifies the end of the season isn’t far off.
Throughout the season—listening, watching, day by day, week by week, to the athletes - you see it.
Between school, work, life, practices, relationships, and other activities pulling in multiple directions one truth becomes clear:
It’s not easy.
If anything—it’s tough.
From early mornings heading to school to late nights finishing homework…Balancing classes, practices, jobs, and friendships. Pushing through the pain during a run, then pushing through deadlines at home.
It’s not easy.
There are days when your legs feel heavy and motivation runs thin. Days when it would be easier to give up—to walk instead of run, to throw in the towel and say “I Quit”, to call off work, or to skip the assignment.
The pressure is real:
If grades drop, parents get upset.
If goals aren’t met, frustration sets in.
If you miss work, money disappears.
Easy? That word rarely shows up.
But maybe… just maybe… that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. Maybe it’s supposed to be hard!
So if you’re reading this and life feels hard—
Embrace it. Maybe this is the WAY.
Embrace it. Maybe everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of something difficult.
Embrace it. Because YOU are strong enough to handle it.
Cross Country Runners aren’t built for "easy"!!!
YOU are built to rise.
YOU are built to fight through the hard.
YOU are built to give it everything you’ve got—and enjoy the journey along the way!
Comfort never created strength.
Struggle did!
Make this week a great week.
