Our varsity basketball team was once again invited back to the prestigious Midwest Live Showcase at the Cedar Point Sports Center to play against some of the top teams in Ohio and the surrounding states! The boys went 4-0 with wins over:
Racine Southern 64-36
Grand Rapids Central Catholic 58-43
Clarkston 54-50 (OT)
Detroit Country Day 55-44

The guys competed all weekend and showed some grit and toughness. Great way to end our competitions for the summer! And we were able to have some team bonding in an Airbnb on the lake highlighted by Coach Hieber’s world famous pancakes!

These guys played their tails off at Findlay Team Camp this past weekend. Went 7-0 against Meadowbrook, Minerva, Lake Orion (MI), Grand Valley, Northeastern (IN), Pettisville and Paulding. It wasn’t always pretty but they embrace the difficult and flat out compete!

Great day yesterday at the Bluffton Shootout for our first run of the summer! Varsity went 3-0 with wins over Perry, Cincinnati North College Hill and Lima Bath. JV’s went 3-0 with wins over Lima Bath Blue/White and Ridgemont. The boys enjoyed a little fellowship afterwards as well!

Congratulations to Mack Hieber and Reid Creager on their OPSMA All-Northwest District honors. This is voted on by an Ohio Prep Sports Media panel.

Congratulations to Reid Creager for breaking the single season 3 point field goal record with 62! The previous record was held by Trent Meyer with 60 made 3’s in 2004. Reid averaged 3.3 made 3 pointers/game!

Congratulations to Mack Hieber on adding two more records to his stellar senior season! Not only does he finish his career as the All-Time leading scorer with 1,542 points. But he also breaks the single season scoring record and Most FGs in a season record. Both of those were previously held by David Van Karsen in his historic 1992-1993 season!

Also, THANK YOU to our 3 Seniors, Mack, Brian and Cal! You have helped shape the new standard of PH basketball! In your 4 years, you have won 2 NWOAL titles and have been to 3 District Finals. Job well done men! Looking forward to bigger and better things in the next chapter of your lives!
