How do I add a kid to my MN DNR Licensing account? 👨‍👦

We're getting this question a lot for our new electronic licensing system - here's a quick guide! ✅

Children 13 and older can create their own account, the same as an adult. Instructions are available online via the link below. 🔶

For children 12 and under, their account must be linked to an adult's account. 🔗

• An adult needs to create a MN Login account and link it to your existing MNDNR account or create a brand new one if you've never bought a license before.

• Once the adult is logged in, you can create a new MNDNR account for your kid or link to your kid's existing MNDNR account if they had one previously.

• When the accounts are linked, you will be able to manage their profile and purchase licenses and certifications for them. The system will show "Viewing as: Their Name" during the purchasing process.

• If the child's certification was already present in the old system, select your name (online upper right corner) and select the child's name to view their profile. Once you are "Viewing as: Their Name", their certifications will appear under Safety Certificates (in app) or Certifications (online).
