Bowen Lodge opened as a Walleye and Pike fishing camp on Lake Winnie and Cutfoot Sioux in 1930 by Herb and Jessie Bowen. Since its humble beginnings, the resort has seen many years of improvements in comfort and accessibility. Bowen's has become an established fishing and family resort destination for generations of people. Although now a modern and comfortable resort, we still maintain an atmosphere of Minnesota wilderness, complete with blue-ribbon fishing opportunities. Throughout the years, many have known us as their one and only Lake Winnibigosh and Cutfoot Sioux get-away in the Northland.

Help us support Molly! She owns one of our favorite restaurants in the area Gosh Dam Place Lake Winnie.

I am guessing some of you are wondering why you haven't seen Molly or myself at the restaurant this summer. Well, Molly was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer on May 8th. She started her chemo treatments on June 8th and they will continue every two weeks for ~16 weeks. A big shout out to our wonderful staff for picking up the loose ends and taking care of business as usual. If you would like to support Molly in her fight to beat this you can purchase bracelets at several area bars, restaurants and resorts in the area. Thank you to all the businesses helping out with this. We want to thank you all for your continued patronage of the GDP during these difficult times. We also thank everyone who has made meals and dropped off gifts. We ask for your continued prayers that Molly makes a full recovery. Thank you all, and have a Happy and Safe 4th of July weekend.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We're dreaming up a new way for families to enjoy Bowen Lodge... and we're hoping our amazing community can help.

🚲 We're looking for gently used bicycles!
Have a bike sitting in your garage that's no longer being used? We'd love to give it a second life.

Our goal is to build a small fleet of bikes that guests can use to cruise around the resort, ride to the lodge for ice cream, explore with their kids, and simply enjoy a slower pace of life.
We're looking for:
• Adult bikes
• Teen bikes
• Kids' bikes
• Bike helmets (in good condition)
The bikes don't need to be perfect—just safe and in decent working condition. We'll clean them up, perform any needed maintenance, and make sure they're ready for many more miles of smiles.
If you have a bike you'd be willing to donate, send us a message or stop by the lodge.
