πŸ€ 2026 Tri-County Basketball Season Recap πŸ€

What an incredible season.

Over the past 3 months, 248 players, 38 coaches, and 26 teams from Riverside, Deer Park, Chewelah, and Colville came together to compete, grow, and represent their communities with pride in a 10 week season.

By the numbers:

β€’ 157 games played
β€’ 4 divisions
β€’ 4 gyms hosting games
β€’ 1,000+ hours of team practice time
β€’ 100+ hours of game play
β€’ 234 volunteer hours from Riverside High School athletes alone

But this season was about more than numbers.

It was about 1st graders learning how to dribble for the first time.
It was about 8th graders playing some of their final youth league games.
It was about teamwork, confidence, and friendships that extend beyond the court.

Two tournament games went into double overtime, ending in sudden death with underdog victories. These are moments these players will never forget.

This league runs on community.

A huge thank you to:

πŸ€ Riverside Rams Boys Basketball - Coach Dutton's boys logged 151 volunteer hours
πŸ€ Riverside Rams Girls Basketball - Coach Davis's girls logged 83 volunteer hours
πŸ€ Our pro referees: Thomas, Allen, Bill, and Bryan
πŸ€ Riverside custodial staff
πŸ€ Our board members and gym monitors who plan, organize, host, and coach
πŸ€ Score clock, scorebook, and concession volunteers who donated hundreds of hours

And thank you to our sponsors for making this season possible:

Los Tres Potrillos Mexican restaurant
ACI Coatings LLC
Billy Costello - State Farm Agent
Spokane Concrete & Excavating
Spokane Memory Care at South Hill
Copenhaver Construction, Inc
D.D. Designs & More
20/20 Exteriors
Anonymous

Because of this community effort, youth basketball continues to thrive across our four towns.

We are proud of every single athlete who stepped on the court this season.

Watch for your individual division shout-outs!
