Offering instruction by Trainer/Instructor/Coach that trained thru FEI in Germany. Silverhorse Farms began as Renault Farms in San Juan Capistrano and it was founded in 1986. Dressage Trainer, Debbie Spitzenpfeil had 20-22 horses in training at Rancho Sierra Vista from Training Level to FEI, and also taught Pony Club. She did breeding with her Holsteiner Stallion from Germany named Renault. She se

mi-retired here Oregon with her main Stallion's son, Revelation. She teaches at her private facility, Silverhorse Farms and teaches Clinics in Oregon, Washington, California and Hawaii. Debbie trained in Germany to FEI.

This is so true for many of us old timers. Just the smell of a horse and the barn works better than any Blood Pressure meds. All your troubles melt away during your time with your horses. It keeps my sanity.

Older riders are some of the happiest and healthiest people I know.
🐴 They are active. Strong. Flexible. Balanced — in the saddle and in life.

For many of them, riding isn't just a hobby. It's the reason they stay fit. It's the reason they get up early on a cold morning and drive to the barn with a smile on their face. It's the thing that keeps their mind sharp, their body moving, and their heart full.
And here's what I find so beautiful about it:

The older the rider, the more they seem to truly savor it.
The smell of the barn. The feel of their horse exhaling underneath them. The quiet of an early morning ride before the rest of the world wakes up.

They have earned every single one of those moments. And they know it.
Riding doesn't just keep older riders in the saddle. It keeps them alive in the best possible sense of the word.

I trained a CEO of a huge corporation and I had to tell her to drink a margarita or a glass of wine before her lesson.
Her horse would always pick up on her stress and agitation from the day, which resulted in a difficult often frustrating lesson. You couldn’t blame it on the horse…..cause when she drank a margarita before her lesson, her horse was chill too! 👍
