Hello everyone. I hope you all are well. It was weird last night not having practice or a game.
I wanted to relay to all of you just how proud the coaches are at the way our team grew this year and went from boys just playing football to all of them being football players. There is a difference.
I know you all are just as proud of these young men as we are for the GREAT effort they put out on that field Tuesday night. I saw a team leave it all out there on the field and except for a couple of things not going our way I believe we would still be playing ball tomorrow in the championship. We all look forward to sitting in the stands with you all for the years to come watching these young men compete and we can remember back to this year and how they became teammates and friends that will last a lifetime. I am very happy that my son has friends like your boys. I would like to thank all of you for the support during the hot games and the cold games and the trips out to Mustang and El Reno and having the boys at all of the practices. I think we all see it paid off with the way this team kept getting better and never quit.
I would also like to thank Coach Jeremy, Coach Mike and Coach David for being such a great influence on JD and all of our boys this year. All of the boys are better for having these men in their lives these last few months and I really appreciate them.
I want to thank the whole Hinton family for the behind the scenes things they did for us every week with filming the games and bringing snacks and such.
This team will be in my heart forever and it was a gift to be able to coach these boys this year. Thank you

We haven’t heard anything yet from the team photos yet but will check and hopefully get some information to you soon.

Finally the coaches are talking and we plan on having a get together soon for all the boys to have some fun and celebrate their hard work. We will be letting you all know something as soon as we figure it out.

Hello this is coach Jerry. We just got the playoff brackets. We play tomorrow Sunday at 1PM. We play the Irish again and will be playing at Mustang field. You can go to www.cofl.org to see the bracket and a map to the mustang field. We will email and call and text everyone today to make sure we reach you all. Reminder we play tonight night in the last regular season game. It’s at the Putnam City Irish South field at 8PM. Again please have the boys there at 7PM. You can find a map of where the field is at http://cofl.org/Maps.aspx It looks to be off of 50th street just West of Council.

Playoffs. We will find out Saturday who and when we play. We did find out today that we will be playing at the Mustang fields next week.

Hello everyone. Just a reminder that we have practice tonight from 6-7:30. Full pads please.
We also play our last regular season game Thursday night at 8 against the PC Irish in Putnam City. I will send out the map again tomorrow and Thursday.
We will be having a playoff game next Monday or Tuesday. We don’t know when, where or who we play yet but should probably Friday.

I have been speaking with the DCO Basketball Director and I have spoken to some of you about the upcoming basketball season with Deer Creek Optimist. I know there are 2 or 3 basketball teams that have boys from this team on them already but we have several boys still available and have shown an interest to play this upcoming season. I coached JD’s team in Edmond and would be willing to do the same here for anyone who is interested. Please let me know if you are interested and would like to learn more about it. All practices and home games are at DCIS.

1 point…1 point oh wow what a game. I’ll tell you all that looking into the eyes of the boys as they battled the whole game and seeing the look in their eyes after they had left everything they had on the field last night makes you proud as a coach and as a parent. The way they all cheered each other on and helped each other through the battle was fantastic. I also want to say we have the best and loudest parents and families in the league. You all were great last night. Thank you all for the support, emails and in person encouragement you give Jeremy, Mike, David and myself, and especially the boys. It is very much appreciated. I posted a couple of pictures on the DC Storm page. I encourage you all to share any pictures you have.

A reminder that team pictures are at 3 PM Sunday at DC High School so please be there around 2:45 so we can get them done. Please have the boys there dressed in full uniform including shoulder pads and helmet.

Reminder #2 we play Monday night in our final home game at DC field against the Mustang Mudcats at 8PM. Please have the boys there at 7PM so we can get ready to have another great effort and this time get another win.
