We spent 2 days at Huntington Beach state park NC. Enjoying the Ocean and surrounded area. We rode bikes 5 miles into town found a seafood market bought 2 lb of fresh shrimp had it boiled and seasoned. Then they iced it. We put in bike bag rode back to camp and had a seafood feast.

This is Lexington BBQ listed as top 10 in nation. North Carolina bbq food smoke. Tangy coleslaw. Good hush puppies and fries. Good bbq but I don’t think they converted me from KC bbq. We worked up an appetite by doing a 4.5 mile walk at Morrow Mountain SP. NC

Dolly Allen and I are part way through a 4 week stay with our son’s family in North Carolina. We went to the ocean to start our 40th anniversary trip across America to our daughter home in Yuma AZ. This is the Atlantic Ocean at Carolina Beach NC. We hope to dip our tires in the Pacific Ocean later in our trip!
