Feb 28 Spring Snow Goose Hunting Report
A banger of a day to wrap up the second‑to‑last hunt. After a week of slow to average shooting, things finally picked back up. High field finished with 60 snows, low field had 14, and the daily average landed at 40.2 birds per field. Tomorrow is the last day of the season.
Now for the part I wish I didn’t have to write.
We almost made it through another year in 9‑commandment Arkansas, but the thieves struck again. And yes, I know there are supposed to be ten commandments — apparently “Thou shall not steal” doesn’t apply here. I had almost nothing stolen until I started hunting Arkansas, and now every 2–3 years we get hit. I’m pretty sure it’s the same people as before.
If anyone has information on who’s been stealing our equipment, I’d appreciate a heads‑up so the Sheriff can put them exactly where they belong. A lot of you follow these posts — odds are someone out there knows something. Any help is greatly appreciated. Shoot me a message and I will pass it along to the Sheriff.
