Hawkins and Carson started the tournament season strong in Fargo, North Dakota, this weekend.

Hawkins earned five top-two finishes, including first place in XMA Forms and XMA Weapons. Carson earned three top-three finishes, including first place in Sparring.

We are proud of how they represented Gray Falcon Family Martial Arts. Tournament competition gives students opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, work toward goals, and learn how to perform under pressure.

Congratulations, Hawkins and Carson. Their strong start shows what children can accomplish as they develop confidence, discipline, and determination through martial arts.

This week's Respect lesson: Respect Earns Trust

Trust is built one choice at a time. When children are honest, responsible, and follow through on their commitments, they earn the trust of parents, teachers, coaches, and friends.

Respect and trust go hand in hand.

This week's Respect lesson: Lead By Your Actions

Children learn more from what we do than what we say. When students make positive choices, help others, and set a good example, they demonstrate leadership and respect.

This week's Respect lesson: Gain Respect by Giving Respect

One of the first lessons students learn is that respect starts with how we treat others. By showing courtesy, listening, and using respectful communication, children build stronger relationships both at home and at school.

Respect is not something we ask for. It is something we earn through our actions.

Congratulations to all of our students who qualified to compete at District Championships this season.

Qualifying for Districts takes dedication, consistency, perseverance, and the willingness to continue improving throughout the tournament season. We are proud of every student who stepped into the ring, challenged themselves, and represented our school with focus and sportsmanship.

We would especially like to recognize students including Charles, Kegan, Hawkins, and Marcus for their hard work and accomplishments throughout the season.

Tournament competition helps students develop much more than martial arts skills. Through competition, students build confidence, discipline, respect, leadership, perseverance, and the ability to perform under pressure.

No matter the final results, we are proud of all of our competitors for the effort and determination they showed this season. Earning the opportunity to compete at Districts is something to be proud of.

Good luck to all of our students competing at District Championships.
