Back to the Driftless
For those who don’t know me, my name is Marco Kamimura—a passionate fly fishing enthusiast in the Iowa Driftless! Back in my college days, I spent a lot of time writing op-eds, gear reviews, blog articles, and weekly Pro-Tip content specific to fly fishing the Iowa Driftless. The community’s engagement with that content inspired me to become more involved in the Iowa fly fishing community, ultimately leading me to start a small public-water fly fishing guide service.
As many small business owners know, it’s the relationships that keep us going. Even after reluctantly moving away to support my family, you all stayed with me and many joined me on my adventures chasing Great Lakes smallmouth, walleye, salmon, steelhead, and trout. While I love my homewaters here in Michigan, the Iowa Driftless will always hold a special place in my heart!
So, I’m excited to announce that I’m reopening my fly fishing guide service to the Iowa Driftless Area! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many of you and helping grow the local fly fishing community. As a conservation-focused guide, I’m deeply invested in the health of the waters and the health of the Iowa fly fishing community. Now, I’m excited to return to the dream I started years ago—helping you explore the beauty of the Driftless streams once more.
