Texas Outlaw Series round 3 and 4 was a moral victory more than anything. Luke qualified 3rd on Saturday and ran good in moto 1, finishing 4th. Moto 2 was not good, he got tangled on the backside of the track in a turn and went for a wild ride. All the safety gear did it’s job, but it’s not something we want to repeat. After ruling out the concussion, his leg still hurt so we went for an xray, all good. He was running in a foot race later that evening. Boodrow told him he’d race the next day if he could, don’t worry about the car and he kept his promise. Team Duh Huh doesn’t know quit. Luke climbed right back in the next day clicking off quick crazy consistent times like nothing happened. He finished 4th overall on the day. The cougar was out of the car! I’m so proud of Luke for his mental toughness and love for the sport. I can’t thank all the people that checked on him and helped us get him calmed down and checked out. Boodrow Nicholson is the man, we are grateful beyond words for gettting Luke back in the saddle on Sunday. We’re going to rebuild # 14 back better, watch out.
