Happy Sunday everyone! We want to take the time to thank everyone who came out and supported our event. With it being our first year, we didn’t really know what to expect. We ended having roughly 400 people out between all our visitors, with most families bringing anywhere from 2-5 kids with them. We absolutely loved sharing our property and facility with those in the community. We were so happy to see all the kids having fun and enjoying what our place has to offer.
I have a few major shout outs and thank yous to hand out and in no particular order:
Thank you to Katie Ozier and your family, and Moundford Free Methodist Church for all of your time, resources, and support. I was so overwhelmed when we first talked, and being able to delegate tasks and having help and a soundboard for planning and organizing really showed me how God moves through fellowship and having believers in your circle. From brochures, decorations, tables and chairs, trailers, signs, live music, prayer, advertising, and every last little thing, you helped fill in all the gaps and keep things moving. You’re the best sister in Christ a girl could ask for, and I’m blessed to say you and Preston are our neighbors.
Thank you to our boarder families that participated both in planning and barn clean up as well as both days of the event. Having extra hands on deck really made things run smoothly. The barn decorations look amazing and so does the rest of the place. I can’t thank you all enough for your time, hard work, dedication, and shared passion for the barn family and the outpouring of love with any event you are involved in. (I would tag all of you but some have your tags turned off). You guys always show up and show out, and I’m so proud to have you guys in my circle. We really are a family here and you never let me down.
Thank you to Rebecca Fraze and Tyler for the pumpkins, help with set up, and every little thing in between. You guys showed up on a rough day for us to help with horses and have been a huge blessing every time you visit from that day on. You are such a power couple and have so much love and support to give.
Thank you to Taqueria La Perlita and and Delicious for being our food/desert vendors for the event. We all got to try just about everything and our hearts are as full as our bellies. We had so many compliments and zero complaints. We look forward to working with you again in the future and we cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate you showing up for our first event.
Thank you to all of our vendors that came out and supported us! (It’s not letting me tag you either)
MJ Creations for your leatherworks and crafts, J’s Brush and Banner for the banner for our event, Chloe’s Cakes and Crumbs for all the amazing homemade goodies (the banana bread mini cinnamon rolls are the best!), and Heather Zglr for hiding bracelets all over the property for our guests to find (follow her on TikTok she hides around Decatur every Thursday!) To those who were unable to attended, we still appreciate you considering us and hope you all make it out to future events.
Thank you, and a major WOW, to my drill team/lesson kiddos. You all went above and beyond to keep the pony rides going top tier and I had SO many compliments on the way you handled the kiddos and horses with love, care, and patience. You know fun and safety are off equal importance, and you delivered. You wear the Living Water Ranch brand on your hearts and it shows in your character. I’m so incredibly proud to say you ladies are part of my barn and on our team.
Thank you to my husband, who heard my crazy requests and really supported and carried out the vision that God placed in my heart for this event. Your countless hours of prep work on the property, endless hay rides, and many hugs through the tears of frustration and joy may never be fully accounted but will never go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you for letting me dream big, love with my whole heart, and share our place with all who come to us. Thank you for making me feel seen and heard, and learning how to tend to and water the soil I plant seeds in, so they grow deep, wide roots in a firm foundation. That way we get to reap the harvest together. (This isn’t about a garden).
Anyone else that wasn’t mentioned specifically or didn’t get a shoutout, please know that my heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude for any part you had in our event—big or small. It may have been a phone call, or just dropping by, or taking care of one small task. I promise you that you make a difference here and that kingdom work takes a village. We are certainly blessed to have you in ours.
All we can say is wow and thank you. Watching God work through this event was such a blessing. When we became the owners here, we hit the ground running, and in way over our heads, we have never stopped trying to follow God’s calling on our lives and figure out just why He brought us to Decatur. This event severed as both an eye and heart opener for both of us. We’ve grown so much and have gotten closer. Seeing what God has in store for all of those who attended and had the chance to experience our place surely brings our hearts full circle.
