How's your attitude?
Reposted from One conversation changed how I looked at player development.
I asked a coach which player had improved the most that season.
I expected him to mention the quickest player, or the most gifted one.
He didn't.
He mentioned the player who listened.
The one who asked questions instead of making excuses.
The one who got corrected once and didn't need telling again.
That stuck with me.
Talent gets people excited.
Being coachable keeps you moving forward.
Every coach I've worked with, whether it was in an academy, a grassroots club, or the professional game, has said some version of the same thing.
