National Fitness Day in the US is held annually on the first Saturday of May (May 2, 2026) to inspire, motivate, and encourage people to get active and try new ways to improve their health. Founded in 2017 by Kim Bielak, it promotes fitness through community events, free classes, and personal activity.
Purpose: To celebrate strength, health, and empowerment through movement.
Activities: Many gyms, instructors, and communities offer free or donation-based fitness classes.
