The rain held off, and we had an amazing weekend of baseball at both Flint and Point Mallard for a great cause! ⚾️ Our 2026 Beau Clark Benefit Tournament hosted 26 total teams across all ages, with teams from all over Morgan County and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who participated, attended, and donated!

We are especially thankful for our partners at Decatur Parks & Recreation, Decatur National Baseball, and USSSA Rec League. The expansion to Point Mallard, along with the marketing and support from USSSA helped us generate over $10,000 in proceeds that will 100% be passed back to our beneficiaries!

It’s very rewarding to see what can be accomplished when a community comes together. Good luck to all of our Region’s All Star teams over these next few weeks!

Happy Saturday! We are excited to get our 2026 Beau Clark Benefit Tournament up and rolling.

We will be actively monitoring weather, but as of 7:30am field conditions are satisfactory at both Flint and Point Mallard for play, and we are planning to get started on schedule.

If anything changes we will relay information to coaches first and here if possible. Reminder that each site will have a $5 gate fee, either cash or Venmo, with al proceeds going to beneficiaries.

We look forward to a great day of baseball!

Due to close proximity with the upcoming USSSA Baseball North Alabama/Southern TN Regional All Star Tournament (6/1-6/6), an opportunity was identified to enable this tournament to dually serve as both a fundraiser and the USSSA Region 4 All Star Warm Up Tournament!

Last night we closed out an amazing Spring 2026 Season with our Family Fun Night! ⚾️🏅🏆

It was a great night at the fields celebrating our players and our youth baseball community.

The Hustle and Heart Award is a Coach-nominated award for players that exhibit exemplary sportsmanship as well as dedication to the game and their team. Shout out to our 2026 Hustle and Heart Club as well as our 2026 Over the Fence Club!

We want to give a special thanks to several entities that are critical to not only our operations, but our mission and vision as well.

Thank you to Decatur Parks & Recreation for their professional groundskeeping and site maintenance, and to the concessions staff there night after night this season!

Thank you to Kona Ice of Madison/Decatur/Athens for being a trusted vendor that is always excited to show up and put a (multicolored) smile on our kids faces!

Thank you to D2 Sports & Outdoors for being the central hub for all things sports related, and for being a prime example of what a collaborative small business partnership is capable of achieving. We are thankful for your assistance with sourcing everything ranging from gear to jerseys, and so many things in between. Shout out to D2 for sponsoring our Home Run Derby prizes!

Thank you to the countless volunteers that helped last night run smoothly - and especially Birdie Building Co who sourced the last minute generator to help keep the inflatables up and bouncing! 😆

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to each and every family that participated this Spring season. Without you none of this would be possible, and we are thankful for the community that each of you have had a hand in building.

Several people have asked who's getting dunked....and the answer is that YOU decide!

As a part of fundraising efforts for our upcoming Beau Clark Tournament, teams will have the opportunity to see their Coaches take the plunge. We are on a short time frame - but the 10 teams who raise the most money by noon on Friday will have the opportunity to dunk their coach!

Donations can be made via Venmo (, or see QR code below) with the description including your player's team name and age group. Let's get Dunking!

Join us on Friday night for Decatur American Baseball’s Family Fun Night, featuring our season closing ceremony where we will crown our top teams and recognize some players who showed great sportsmanship all season long.

We will be celebrating a wonderful spring season with lots of fun. Dinner will be provided free of charge.

We will have inflatables for kids, young and old, a dunk tank where some of our coaches and board members might take a dip, and a coach whiffle ball game to see if they have the skills they’ve coached all season long!

Our 8U, 10U, and 12U players will have the opportunity to participate in our first Home Run Derby - presented by D2 Sports & Outdoors. This will begin at 6:00 on field 4, and winners will receive gift cards to D2. There will also be a fastest pitch competition, complete with a leaderboard in the batting cages between fields 3 and 4 using our Smart Coach Pocket Radar.

Teams will line up on field 1 at 5:30PM sharp in their jerseys and hats!

Many have asked, and we are excited to finally announce our 2026 Beau Clark Tournament date! Please join us at Gale Montgomery Park Saturday, May 30th for a fun-filled day of baseball for a great cause. ⚾️

For this season, in addition to supporting the Beau Thomas Clark Memorial Scholarship, we have elected to also directly benefit Bentley Pledger (11) of Hartselle in the form of a lump-sum contribution to a college savings plan. All tournament proceeds (such as registration costs or gate fees) and donations will be split evenly among these beneficiaries unless otherwise earmarked.

For questions regarding donations or business sponsorship opportunities, please reach out to us at [email protected] or via Facebook Messenger! Since we are a verified 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 23-7094566), charitable contributions may result in tax deduction benefits and we are happy to provide confirmation of donations received for record keeping purposes.

Tournament will encompass age groups 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U, with no restrictions on "type" of team. That means that All Star, Rec & Rec+, Travel, etc are all welcome at all age groups!

Registration cost is $100 per team and can be paid via Venmo () or by cash or check. Gate fee of $5 for anyone over the age of 12 will be collected on site in the form of cash or Venmo. We want to take the time to express our appreciation and support of the Hartselle community and the many Hartselle-based families that have chosen to play in our league this Spring. We stand by our vision to be a community-centered program where every child has the opportunity to grow, compete, and develop character through the game of baseball, and we have learned that when communities come together through youth sports, all benefit. ❤️
