Mike's Tackle World

Sharing the official post as well.
We appreciate the entire group at Best Of Tour!!
Having the knowledge that makes us able to adapt and grow with the industry is a key piece to this success.
This picture was taken for Fishing Tackle Retailer and she has been the face of the front for all 49 years we've been going.
All of you are what keeps us able to continue for all of these years and we are grateful for you all.

Small businesses paved the way for the corporations to come in and make more money off of the consumers and it has caused many small businesses to close, and not just in the fishing world.
Please remember to always support small businesses first as they're making less than the corporations and you're supporting small families who truly appreciate you.
This goes for all types of businesses across the US.

Mike's Tackle World in Decatur, IL wins "Best Tackle Selection" in the 2026 Great American Tackle Shop Awards by Best on Tour. This was a 100% fan-nominated and fan-voted process, and the fans have spoken! Congratulations!

Anyone who didn't stumble upon this ordeal on FB, please go to Defense Depot and give them a follow to keep up.

Avery is the daughter of a retired Macon County Deputy that we've known most of his life. He and his wife have done so well raising Avery and teaching her all about the outdoors.

She loves to hunt and after dove hunting a Mattoon school district employee publicly wished Avery to die soon. The lady has been placed on administrative leave but it is my understanding that the district has fired her.

I was told these shirts will be available next week in store as well, so please everyone follow along and get a shirt so Avery can continue to teach other children and hopefully teach kids how to handle bullying so they can continue to grow into the adults they are meant to become.

We will be closing at 4:30 today, Saturday Aug 29, 2026

See everyone involved in the Fall Frenzy tonight at the meeting!!

Wishing everyone a great tournament and can't wait to see the totals tomorrow.
If you're a high school with bass fishing, this is a tournament to get involved in and you will learn about the other around as well.
The Fall Frenzy is a 2 day and this year they were able to schedule it earlier, which they weren't sure was a good or bad idea being so close to school starting. However, I know the captains and kids will enjoy this weather so much more as this tournament had been in October the other 3 years and it was much cooler and I think wet 2 out of the 3 past years.
