Druid Hills Youth Sports (DHYS) is an all volunteer organization dedicated to providing the opportunity to develop baseball and softball skills through team sport participation in an environment of instructive yet competitive play for children who live in the area. DHYS develops these skills by providing training programs for its managers and coaches as well as for players. DHYS strives to develop

the player's character through effort and sportsmanship, and emphasizes the enjoyment of baseball and softball. Parents of players are considered a vital and integral part of the DHYS experience and are encouraged to participate as managers and coaches, team parents, or in the many other volunteer capacities. The purpose of Druid Hills Youth Sports is to promote good character, health, and sportsmanship among the youth of the community through sports. DHYS is a 501(c) non-profit organization* and is affiliated with both Dizzy Dean and PONY Baseball. In 2012, we commemorated 50 years of providing safe, fun and competitive baseball and softball to the children of DeKalb County and Decatur.

11U Sun and Dirt Devils battled it out in an epic semifinal matchup at the Training Legends Honor Our Heroes Classic!

The Dirt Devils fought hard and came away with a 7–5 semifinal win before falling just short against Paulding County in the championship game. 🧡⚾️🌪️

This weekend was a great reminder of how lucky we all are to be part of the Medlock Park community. We are proud of both of these teams and excited for the summer ahead!

⚾️ Medlock Park pride on full display! ⚾️

This weekend, our 12U Sun Devils and Dirt Devils faced off in the semifinals of the Gold Bracket at the TL Early Bird Bash! Both teams represented Medlock Park with heart, hustle and sportsmanship.

In the end, the Sun Devils pulled off the win and went on to be tournament finalists, but the real story is how our community shows up for each other and the amazing competition that proves just how deep our park’s talent runs.

Our 6U Red Devils battled hard this weekend as GOLD BRACKET FINALISTS in their very first tournament — the Training Legends All Star Early Bird Bash! After going 2-0 on Day 1, they earned the #1 seed and faced the #2 seed in a best-of-3 championship series on Sunday.

They pulled off an exciting win in Game 1 with a dramatic finish, but came up just short in the next two against a team that’s been playing together all year. For a group that’s only been together a few weeks, these kids showed incredible heart, hustle, and teamwork while having a blast doing it.

So proud of this team and excited for what’s ahead this season! ❤️⚾️🩵
