Not a sponsored post. I’ve tried Atlas and I’ve tried Red Dirt triggers and although they are both very nice I have to say that this is by far my favorite one so far. Less options for shoe size but the overall design is just incredible and I couldn’t be happier with the quality. Vulcan has always impressed me with their quality in the base pads I’ve bought and the machine work they’ve done. Just remember to install the screws before installing the trigger in the grip!

Quick zero check and making sure the extractor is tuned correctly. My first 1911DS I built and it’s been a roller coaster relationship, I always enjoy getting it out to the range if it runs right though.

Fun fact, I shot my first ever USPSA match with this.

2026 Indiana State Stage 6. New zero was not great but it worked, had to try a bit too hard on steel. Focused on trying to stay moving and not post up too much. ***r

2026 Indiana State Stage 10. Did not realize the optic screw was missing on this stage. I did notice on a few targets when I would pull up as usual I couldn’t see the dot. Managed to not have a miss or too many makeup shots so I’ll count it as a win!

2026 Indiana State Stage 8. Going in to the second half of the day, focused on just staying moving and trying to keep the time to a minimum. Not bad on shots but had issues finding my dot a few times, going to blame it on the loose screws though 😂

2026 Indiana State Stage 2. Trying to figure out a good location to reload was my main drawback on this one, didn’t help I double engaged the far target from the start and then from the right position, on top of that I ran around the wrong barrier so had to backpedal a bit 😂 overall wasn’t a bad run but definitely shook my confidence a bit. ***r

2026 Indiana State Stage 1. Completely crashed out on this one, put two rounds through the port wall for 2M, then tagged the no-shoot but made it up, then forgot the two poppers, ultimately sealing my fate on the stage. Nothing to do but laugh it off and move on. ***r

2026 Indiana State Stage 5. Had to start with wrists on ears which turned my audio off, must have helped because this was my highest score of the match! Had the same malfunction as before but powered through it no trouble.

2026 Indiana State Stage 4. Super pumped for this stage, was a really good time. Had a malfunction after the reload, but recovered and stayed in it. Movement is feeling much more fluent, just need to speed up the shots.
