What if the reason you’re not seeing results has nothing to do with how many reps you’re doing?
You’ve been told to do 12–15 reps. So you hit 15, put the weights down, and call it a good set.
But here’s what most people don’t realize…
Hitting 12–15 reps doesn’t automatically mean you’re building muscle.
If you finish your set and could easily do another 10 reps, are you really challenging yourself?
The number isn’t magic. The effort matters.
Choose a weight that challenges you, control your reps, and gradually increase the difficulty as you get stronger.
You don’t need to train to failure every set, but those last few reps should require real effort.
Don’t just chase a number. Chase progress.
Be honest… do you stop because you hit your rep target, or because the set actually got challenging?
