CCL ALLSTARS

The postseason awards are rolling in and wanted to make sure these guys get the recognition they deserve for making the CCL League Allstar Teams.

We had a record 9 league Allstars this year, including 5 First Team players.

These teams are voted on by the CCL coaches, with only 36 total players from the league making the teams, so it’s a big accomplishment to be recognized!

It’s that Sectional time of year….

We finished up at 9-5 on the season and secured the 7 seed, and host 10 seed Copenhagen in rematch of last year’s first round matchup.

Game is tomorrow, Wednesday, at HOME at 3pm.

Come out and support these guys and fill that sideline with Maroon and White!!

SENIOR NIGHT and HOMECOMING

We have a full night of Rocket soccer on deck for you tonight!

Starting at 4pm, both the Boys and Girls Modified teams kickoff - playing on both fields.

Our Varsity Boys will be playing Brookfield at 5:30pm with the Senior Night recognition happening at the conclusion of our game (around 7:15pm) and before our Varsity Girls kickoff against OV.

Come out and support all the Seniors — we’ve got 11 of them ourselves, and show that Rocket Pride from the sidelines.

The Rocket will be fully stocked with a bunch of hot food and drinks!

See you there!!

Big win over McGraw at home today, with a 2-0 final! Dylan Foster got us on the board early, finishing a great cross in from Devens in the 3rd minute.

It was deja vu to get the second half started, when Devens put a great ball in on a corner, and Dylan got on the end of it to finish with a great header just 6 minutes into the second half.

The defense played their best game of the season, shutting out a very strong offensive team in McGraw. Shoutout to Caleb in goal, and Everett, Daniel, Cooper and Jonah in front of him working hard all game.

We have a busy week this week and are back at it this Wednesday at Cincy at 4:30, with another big CCL matchup! We felt the love today from the sidelines and can’t wait for the Rocket faithful to show up Wednesday 🚀

Big win over Stockbridge yesterday at home, with a 9-0 final!

Devens got us started early and netted a hat trick with the first 3 goals in the first 13 minutes, one coming off an assist from Josiah. Owen was able to finish off a great individual effort as well, and Cooper converted a PK to bring us to halftime at 5-0.

We kept it going in the second half when Owen headed in a corner kick from Cooper, and Devens was able to tally his 4th of the game just one minute later. Aden finished the game strong with a goal and assisted on the final goal of the game to Dylan Foster.

The boys had a great showing last night at Brookfield, bringing home a big win.

We were up 9-0 at the half, with a bunch of different guys getting involved. Final was 11-0.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME DAY

We opened our season and the tournament on Thursday with a great 7-2 win over Cincy. The boys came out ready to go with goals by Devens Whalen, Owen Davis, Aden Daley and Cooper Millett. Assist by Devens and Josiah Hannafan.

We are back on the field today at 4pm to kickoff the championship game of our tournament against Cazenovia.

First two weeks of preseason is under our belt, and we’re ramping up for this upcoming week when we host our Annual Booster Blastoff Tournament. We play the 3pm game on Thursday, with our Girls team playing right after us with a scheduled 5pm kickoff. Both teams play Watertown IHC.

Couple more end of season recognitions rolled in and wanted to make sure these guys got some love for their hard work and play.

Senior, Cody Nellenback, was selected to the All-Greater Cortland Area team. This is a great honor and only one player total for each position is chosen from all Cortland area schools, and he is only the second Rocket player to be named to the boys team over the years. Look for the full write up in this upcoming Saturdays Cortland Standard!

Junior, Devens Whalen, was chosen by CNY Sports Authority to their Section 3 Class D First Team. He was one of 22 players across all of Section 3 Class D to be chosen. Dev finished the season with 11 goals and 4 assists, all while being sidelined for the second half of the season with an injury.

Congrats boys!!
