Each season, our coaches have the opportunity to nominate ONE player from their team who they believe truly represents what sportsmanship is all about.

These are the players who cheer the loudest, pick their teammates up, celebrate others, and make sure everyone feels like they belong.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW Hall of Fame Pizza & Wings VOLUNTEER HEAD COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD! 🏆

Our youth sports programs wouldn’t be possible without the amazing volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to our community.

This year, we want to give YOU the opportunity to help us recognize those coaches who go above and beyond!

Parents and community members can nominate a Volunteer Head Coach of the Year for each sport who they believe has truly made a difference throughout the season.

Most importantly, we want to recognize the coaches who continue to show up for our kids, encourage them, teach them, and help them discover a love for the sport they play.

Each person may vote for ONE coach per sport. When submitting your vote, we’d love to hear why you believe that coach deserves to be recognized!

⚽ Fall Soccer Season Starts Saturday! ⚽

We’re excited to kick off another great season of DeWitt Parks & Recreation youth soccer on Saturday, September 12! 🎉

A successful soccer season takes a lot of people working together, and we want to recognize everyone who helps make it happen.

👏 To our volunteer coaches: Thank you! Your time, patience, energy and commitment to the players are what make this program possible. Without our volunteer coaches, this program simply could not happen. We appreciate you stepping up and giving your time to our youth.

⚽ To our players: Have fun, work hard, learn, encourage your teammates and enjoy the season! We’re excited to watch you grow and play.

🌱 To our Parks Department staff: Thank you for all the behind-the-scenes work getting the fields ready — mowing, painting, and preparing the fields so they are ready for game day.

🚗 To our families: We know it takes time and effort to get players to practices and games. Thank you for making it happen and supporting your kids throughout the season.

🟨 To our referees: Thank you for giving your time to help our games run. Please remember that referees are learning and working hard, too. Give them some grace, encouragement and respect — especially our younger officials.

🦺 To our site supervisors: Thank you for being at the fields, helping things run smoothly and keeping safety a priority for players, families, coaches and everyone attending the games.

🌭 And to our concessionaire: Thank you for being there each week to provide food and drinks and add to the game-day experience!

It truly takes a community to make youth sports happen, and we’re grateful for every person who plays a part.
